About Holli

After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School in December 2004, I began my practice in my hometown of Eugene, Oregon, defending lawyers in malpractice lawsuits. This work continued when I moved to Portland in 2008. In 2012, I joined the Professional Liability Fund as a Claims Attorney, where my practice was devoted entirely to investigating and evaluating attorney negligence claims, as well as trying to find creative solutions to fix mistakes so clients were not harmed. I found the subject matter stimulating and the work incredibly rewarding.
In 2023, I moved from Portland back to Lane County to be closer to my family. I now live with my husband and two dogs in Springfield, near my son, parents, and sister and her family. Continuing to work a hybrid schedule with the PLF throughout 2023 and 2024, gave me abundant time during my commute to consider new ways to leverage my experience for the public good.
The number of practicing lawyers in Oregon is declining, and there is a significant need for estate planning and probate attorneys, especially in the less urban parts of the middle and southern Willamette Valley. Additionally, our Spanish-speaking communities are often overlooked and underserved. This is a gap I aim to address given my proficiency in Spanish.
From personal experience raising a child with a disability, I understand the psychological weight on parents and caregivers. Planning for and securing the future for these individuals is crucial, and administering these plans can be daunting for family members. A trusted attorney can provide practical guidance and alleviate stress.
While focused on making a switch to estate planning, I also found myself loathe to entirely give up my work with attorneys. Only a small group of attorneys in Oregon provide legal ethics advice and disciplinary defense work. My extensive experience working with lawyers through some of the most difficult times in their professional lives uniquely positions me to help other lawyers navigate complex ethical situations.
I am a problem solver, and I find it rewarding to use my skills and expertise in helping people resolve their problems, questions, and disputes so lives can move forward.
I would be thrilled to put my experience and dedication to work for you.

Personal Interests & Community Involvement
Outside of my practice, I enjoy traveling, reading, swimming, walking, hot yoga, spending time with my family and friends, being with my dogs, going to the theater, and hosting a monthly book club for my friends.
I also find a lot of fulfillment in volunteering my time with worthy causes. My current civic involvement includes volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care and participation in a local Rotary Club.
I am also an administrator for an international group of Lawyer Moms of Kids with Disabilities and plan twice yearly retreats for our members.
